FILTERSHEETS
|
The filter sheet is basically a three-dimensional
depth filter formed by absorbents with the large inner surface. We can
imagine them as a mesh of differently long cellules and ducts inside the
plate where all impurities are caught. In spite of sieve filtration, the
depth filter sheets with absorbent multiply their total filter surface and
thus the amount of filtered solution is much higher.
Types of Filtration
The depth filter sheets are sorted according to
corresponding established criteria of European Association of Depth
Filtration into the plates intended for:
- Sterile - microbiologically
effective filtration
- Filtration reducing germs
- Fine filtration
- Cleaning/defecating filtration
- Coarse pre-filtration
